In the introduction to the 40th Anniversary edition of Fahrenheit 451, Mr. Bradbury wrote in more detail about his experiences in creating this work. As the book was being created in the basement of Powell Library on the UCLA campus, Mr. Bradbury described the process as "... breathing the finest pollen in the world, book dust,..."
